DY’s Alekh Singh impresses with a fifer for Worli Sports Club in U19 Bhama Cup’26

From the bowlers, Alekh Singh was the pick of the lot returning with a match winning bowling performance of 5/21 in 4 overs including a maiden. Alekh who trains at DY Cricket Academy in Mira Road was spot on with the ball not allowing any batters to settle as he constantly kept the batters in check with timely breakthroughs. Alekh has been impressive overall as he bowled well in his previous outing as well in the same tournament taking 4/24 in 5.2 overs vs New Social Union Cricket Club.

Worli Sports Club in reply chased down the score in 16.1 overs winning the match in commanding fashion by 9 wkts. Opener Nikhil Verma guided the chase with an unbeaten 50* off 39 balls ensuring his team crossed the victory line comfortably.

Alekh Singh for his impactful fifer was declared man of the match.
