Yash Mahale & Bhushan Talawadekar shine in Day 4 of Mitsui Shoji T20 Tournament’25
Ghatkopar Jets opting to bat first at Air India Sports Club Ground in Mumbai made a total of 150/7 in 20 overs. Siddarth Akre with 33 runs was the highest scorer while rest of the batters also chipped in with crucial cameos. From the bowlers, Ankit and Maxwell Swaminathan with 2 wkts each were the pick of the lot.
Chasing 151, Thane Marathas did appeared to be in trouble at one stage with scoreboard reading 1/1, 32/3. 48/4 and 96/6 at different intervals. However, one batsman who did’nt gave up was Bhushan Talawadekar. Bhushan kept his calm while chasing under pressure as he demonstrated a perfect finishers knock scoring a match winning half century. Bhushan coming at no.6 changed the course of the game with a quickfire 70* off 43 balls which included 9 boundaries and 2 sixes helping Thane Marathas won the match by 4 wkts. Bhushan for his brilliant 70* was declared ‘man of the match”

In the other match between Mumbai Police City Riders vs Bandra Heroes, Mumbai Police opting to bat first made a total of 194/9 in 20 overs with Captain Sunil Patil being the highest scorer with 47 runs off 27 balls. From the bowlers, Harshal Waghmare with 3/29 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot.
Bandra Heroes in reply were all out for 146 runs in 17.2 overs thanks to Yash Mahale’s match winning spell of 4/23 in 4 overs including the wicket of star IPL batter Mandeep Singh who scored 51 runs. Mumbai Police City Riders won by 48 runs, Yash Mahale declared ‘man of the match”
